Maybe the reason we trust online friends so much (sometmes more than our real life ones) is because they're close enough to give us virtual hugs and sympathise and give us support, but not enough to ruin our lives. I mean, it's probably because we know they won't go telling our loved ones that we really are suicidal or feel depressed that we feel comfortable in confiding in them and keeping online things like this.
